The Best Children’s Salvation Tracts

Children's Salvation Tracts | Memory Cross

Via Patheos.com

Salvation or gospel tracts are important tools in sharing the good news to all. These have been proven of great use in explaining the gospel of salvation to people. There are many salvation tracts available for all age group for all related events. What’s good about these tracts is that they’re handy, not bulky and very easy to use. We can use these at anytime in sharing the gospel to people.

Children’s salvation tracts are also efficient tools in reaching out the little ones. They can be used to any kids we meet at any events we attend to, or we can even use these to those we only meet at the streets or parks. These can even be used in Sunday Schools if we want to focus on salvation as our topic.

Why share the gospel to the children?

Jesus has a very special regard to the children. This is clearly described in the bible in the book of the gospels where Jesus told his disciples to let the little children come to him for theirs is the Kingdom of God (Luke 18:16). Children are one of the most easily reached audience – they are very teachable, they show positive response to the gospel and when saved, they still have more time to serve the Lord in the ministry. Not that we don’t give regard to sharing the good news to adults, it’s just that children can possibly have more time and energy to do the ministry since they’re saved at a very young age and in turn, can also share the gospel to others when they’re older.

What are good children’s salvation tracts?

An effective salvation tract will help the children understand the gospel more easily and will get the child’s attention to listen to us (that is aside from how we deliver the gospel of salvation that also gets the child’s attention). Good children’s salvation tracts are:

A. Colorful

Children will always be attentive to colorful things – a book with crisp color, a colorful painting, everything that is colorful! A colorful gospel tract will immediately catch their attention for them to listen to us.

B. Catchy

Children will never listen to us if we don’t get their interest and we don’t want that to happen. Satan loves to interrupt when the gospel is shared, he hates when Christians evangelize and he will do everything he could to get a child’s interest away from us when we try to share the gospel to them. This is why the churches and organizations that create children’s salvation tracts always come up with innovative gospel tracts for our children.

C. Precise

Our gospel presentation needs to be short but intact when presenting them to the kids since they don’t have longer attention spans like adults do. The same with our gospel tracts, they don’t need to be lengthy, a short but precise tracts are perfect for the little children.

Where can we get children’s salvation tracts?

In this digital age, there are many gospel tracts that are available for us to use. Some of them are free and some you can get a bulk at a very reasonable price. There are many websites available online that we can rely on in getting our gospel tracts for our children. Here are a few of them for your reference:

Things You Need to Make Children’s Bible Lessons

Every child needs to know the Bible and the messages that it contains. However, not every child is equipped with the right reading or comprehension skills, and this is why adults – parents and teachers – need to give them proper guidance.

This post is dedicated to you who are eager to make the Bible easier to understand for the little ones. We know that creating children’s Bible lessons is not as easy as it seems! We want them to be easy and engaging enough, but at the same time, we need them to be accurate and truthful. So we might ask: what needs to go into a Bible lessons? Here is our suggestion:

* Prior to the lesson

  1. The first thing you need to do is decide what topic you want to discuss.

For example, if it is the first day of class, you might want to begin with the Creation.

Creation Story origami card from Memory Cross

  1. Next, you need to set clear objectives relative to the age of the children you will teach.

For example, if you’re teaching the Creation Story, do you want the children to know and accept this story as literal and historical? Do you want them to imagine the expanse of God’s power?

  1. Decide on the activities that you want to do and either prepare the materials or inform the children of what materials they need to bring.

* During the lesson

  1. Introduce the topic in an attention-grabbing manner.

This lesson about the First Day of Creation begins the session by giving children play dough and turning the lights off, helping the children imagine what everything must have looked like before God created them.

  1. After getting their attention, engage them by telling them what the topic is about.

Now that you have their attention, introduce the topic formally and point them to where the lesson occurs in the Bible.

  1. Read the Bible together and explain the message.

Open your Bibles and read the relevant verses together. You may either explain the message after you read the entire passage or explain each verse; this depends on the difficulty of the subject.

  1. Discuss what you read and encourage the children to ask questions.
  2. Do the activities that you had planned together. *
  3. Evaluate the results of the activities if applicable.
  4. Recap the lesson and end the lesson with a prayer.

* Suggested activities:

– Memory verse games (We have Blank Scripture Memorization Cards available in our store.)

Blank Scripture Memorization Cards

– Arts and crafts (You can see a list of Easter crafts for Sunday school)

Psalm 46:1 Memory Card

– Praise and worship action songs

– Cooking and baking (There’s a recipe for Empty Tomb or Resurrection Rolls in this list of Easter craft ideas.)

What do you usually do to teach children Bible stories and biblical concepts? Feel free to share with us your ideas for children’s Bible lessons!

Sharing Your Faith with Kids

Almost half of Christians come to accept Jesus as their savior by age 13 according to a Barna survey.  To me that points out the importance of Christian Education at home and in Sharing Your Faith with Kidschurch.  Kids start asking questions about God at a very early age.  My four year old granddaughter already asks questions about what she learned in Sunday School and about who God is and how I know he is real.  I’ve been a parent, grandparent, worked with children, youth and adults in churches for close to 40 years.  Over the years my thoughts about sharing my faith with kids has changed some but the basics remain the same.  Here are a few things I’ve learned about sharing your faith:

  •  Love God with all your heart, soul and mind.  Jesus actually said that, and to me it means we need to have a vibrant life experiencing God.  If we are lukewarm or not passionate about our faith what can we expect from our children.  If you love God with all your heart, soul and mind it will overflow into your life and people will see it.
  • Spend time teaching children about God.  Church is great and I’m thankful that many churches have an active Sunday School but that does not mean we should not share our faith with our children at home.  Read stories, pray and show your faith in action at home, which can be the most difficult place to live your faith.
  • If you are teaching Sunday School, prepare and pray.  As Sunday School teachers we have been given the amazing privilege of helping to raise up kids that love and serve God.  That is a responsibility we should not take lightly.  Pray for the kids and their parents and spend at least a couple hours preparing.  Don’t look at it as a task that is taking up your time but as a privilege to be able to help children develop a vibrant relationship with Jesus.
  • Look for kids that you can reach out to.  Your kids have friends who need to experience God’s love.  I never openly tried to evangelize them but if they were in our house they knew that God was a part of our household.

Sharing your faith with kids can be an awesome experience.  I’ve seen troubled children grow into adults who love Jesus with all their hearts, souls and minds and go on to help others develop a relationship with Jesus.

Sharing Your Faith with Kids

Finally don’t get discouraged.  Continue to pray and influence where you can.  My wife and I have had lots of kids in our house over the years and probably thousands in Sunday School, children and youth groups.  I wish all of them had become passionate followers of Christ. That has not happened but that does not mean God is not at work in their lives.  I’ll close with a letter I received from one of my daughter’s friends.  I’m sharing it to encourage you never to give up on children (or adults).

“I truly thank you guys and I love you for all that you have done and the lessons you instilled in me that has made me the woman and mother that I am today.  Gale taught me how to be a great mother, and how to love unconditional.  She set the standard for how I wanted to love and care for my children and you set the example for how a man should respect and love me. And for what I should seek in a husband and a father for my children. I had never had such wonderful godly role models in my life and I will never forget you guys.”  – Brandi

Ministry resources on YouTube

You may have never thought about it but YouTube is the largest Ministry resource for videos in the world and the best part is it is free.  I teach 5th grade at our church and every Sunday I can find some conversation starting video on YouTube.  If you would like to add videos for free to your children’s church or Sunday school then you’ll want to read this article.   I’ll give you some basics on how to find them, some of my favorite resources and how to get the videos into the classroom.  So let’s get started.ministry resources on YouTube

How to find ministry resources on YouTube

This is the easiest because YouTube is part of Google so the search function works really well.  By the way YouTube is now the second largest search engine ahead of Bing.  If you are on the internet all the time, you’ll already know much of this information but I’m writing assuming people don’t know anything.

  • The first step:  go to YouTube and click the search button.
  • Type in what you are looking for and add “for children or youth” and in less than a second you will have a lot of options to scan through.  I just went over and typed in 1 Corinthians 13 for children because I was looking to teach kids about love.  Now scan throughout the results and pick a few that are the right length and applicable to your kids age group.  For this example I like this one, which would be better for preschool to 3rd graders.

If you don’t find what you are looking for pretty quickly try changing the search terms and watch for what Google is suggesting.  One little change can give you a completely different result.  You can search for anything, adding children or youth to the query and come up with something that the kids will enjoy.

Favorite Ministry resources on YouTube

Here is a quick list of some of my favorite YouTube Resources:

  • The Skit Guys.  I’ve met them personally several years ago at a youth retreat and know that they are committed followers of Jesus.  Aimed at 4th graders to High School these guys are funny and have a good message.  From their home page you can click the search box on their page (not the search box at the top of the page) and see what they have available.  I search on love since they did not have anything on 1 Corinthians 13 and received several results, one of which I posted below.

  • LC Life Kids has a lot of videos for Sunday School and children’s church.  This is part of LifeChurch.tv and the Bible App, available for your Android or Apple device.  They have so many resources it is amazing.  If you load the Bible app on your phone you’ll find devotionals for kids and youth that include videos as well as curriculm.  Here is one of the videos that they have produced.

  • Another one of my favorites is Hillsong kids.  They have created a lot of resources for children.

How to use the YouTube ministry resources in the classroom.

You’ve found the videos you want to share with your kids.  Now how do you get them into your Sunday School class?  If you have internet connection at church it is as easy as bringing in your laptop and showing the videos.  If you don’t have internet connection you can download the videos by typing “ss” in front your the Youtube video.

Example:  If the video you were watching had a url at the top of the browser of this:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uD7rUIXfncU you would type in:  https://www.ssyoutube.com/watch?v=uD7rUIXfncU.  You might get a security warning, ignore it.  You can also go to:  http://en.savefrom.net and copy the YouTube link into the box.  (It is the same site, just two ways of getting there)

It will download the video onto your computer.  You can now burn it to a DVD if you have a video player at church or bring in your laptop.  If you are burning it to a DVD test it beforehand.  Not all DVD players play videos that are burned from your computer.

I hope you find these ministry resources on YouTube valuable.  Any comments or additional information or resources post it below.  Sign up to receive this blog post via email to the right.

Teach Children about God

Teach Children About God – New Books by Graham Blanchard

There is a new Christian book publisher that I wanted to let you know about.   Here is the history of the company.Teach Children About God

Founded by writer and educational content developer Callie Grant to encourage and equip parents to teach children about God. Grant, a former member of the Scholastic Inc. development team in Palo Alto, Calif., founded the company after struggling to find books for her young daughter to help nurture a firmer foundation with God.  She decided to combine her knowledge of educational publishing with her passion to teach children about God, and formed Graham Blanchard Inc.

The company released four new books that not only provide kids with a good story, but also expose them to the message of Christ. Jesus Shows Me and Jesus Invites Me are board books that follow scripture passages verse by verse, pairing them with colorful photographs of God’s creation. All of Me That You Can’t See and Mud Puddle Hunting Day are illustrated books that share fun stories rooted on biblical principals. All the books aim to cultivate a child’s imagination while providing tips for parents on how to use the stories to start meaningful conversations with their child about the Lord.

Here is what a few people have said about the books.

“This book is engaging and fun, teaching children to praise God but not coming across as overly didactic or pushy about teaching the lesson. That keeps the book enjoyable for children while still cultivating in them a heart for praise. All in all, this book is a fun read with a great message, perfect for cuddling up and reading with your child on a rainy day!” – Heather King, HeatherCKing.WordPress.com

“This cute board book walks through one girl’s experience of exploring the outdoors during a rainy morning. She has fun jumping in mud puddles and discovering how the world looks different when it is raining.” – Tiffany Malloy, Learning to Love

“My kids love this book and the beautiful illustrations… I love it too and appreciate the reminder that kids have a natural interest in God’s earth, exploring nature, getting wet and dirty. And given the opportunity, they can and will find God and beauty in everything, even a mud-puddle.” – Alli, mother of five, ages 6 to 13

They put together a video that I wanted to pass along.  If you are reading this post by RSS here is the link to the video.

The books are available on Amazon which I’ve listed below.  If you have children and are looking for resources to help bring them into a relationship with God, check out these new books.  Resources to help Christian parents teach children about God.   That is a goal worth spending money on.

ABC Flash Cards

ABC Flash Cards – New Innovative Way to Teach Children their ABCs

Memory Cross has created a fun new way to teach children their ABCs.  The ABC Flash card has four panels that make a never ending loop.ABC Flash Card  The unique design is so unique that kids want to play with it over and over again.  As they flip through the panels they will quickly learn their ABCs.

It incorporates several different levels of learning.  First they can color on the cards.  This allows them to spend time interacting and learning.  Second each letter is associated with an animal which makes it easier for children to learn.  Finally when children have finished coloring the cards they can be used as a origami flash card.

Studies have shown that children learn better when exposed to different ways of learning.  Because this card incorporates three separate methods it is a very effective way for children to learn their ABCs.  The ABC Flash cards are made in the USA and printed on 100# uncoated cover so they are durable as well as creative.

The design combines four panels into a single card designed to make an endless loop.  For children that learn best by doing this is a very effective card for teaching them their ABC’s.  The ABC flash cards are packaged 6 cards to a pack.  Each pack contains all the letters of the alphabet.
